Kathmandu is capital city of Nepal. many sub city in Kathmandu for example one is the kirtipur. Kirtipur is a small and very beautiful town in Nepal. The town of Kirtipur stands between 2 hills with a large pond lying in between. It lies 5-6 kilometers to the southwest of Kathmandu and is about 4 kilometers from Chobhar.
Kirtipur Cottage Industry Centre is the main industry of the town. The residents of Kirtipur mostly indulge in the vocation of weaving, farming and building and many others. Nepal big Univercity, Tribhuvan University is situated at the bottom of the hill that is surmounted by the Kirtipur town and boasts the best library in the country.
That is the one symbolic city of Nepal. Kirtipur in Nepal preserves old houses and temple squares that add to the beauty of the quaint streets of the town. At the point of confluence of the 2 hills lie the Bagh Bhairab Temple considered sacred by both the Buddhists and the Hindus and many others too. The beautiful temple is devoted to Bhairab whose idol is in the build of a tiger. The interesting tourists sites in Kirtipur constitutes the Uma Maheshwar Temple with its triple roofs and the Chilanchu Vihara. The Uma Maheshwar Temple built in 1673 has Siva and Parvati as the main deities. Chilanchu Vihara, straddled on the southern hill has a central stupa surrounded by 4 stupas.
